Without realizing the significance of it at the time, I grew up in the family of artists, surrounded by all forms of vivid inspirations.
However, I decided I’m not cut out to be an artist, when the clay sculpting class School of Art threatened to ruin my bright red newly polished nails.
In a true democratic sense, I then received my parents’ permission to drop out of Art school. Eventually i successfully completed 4 year-long fashion studies in Berlin.
Once I established my fashion line in Dubai, the fact that my fashion sketches received more appreciation than the actual clothes, came as a big surprise to me. From that moment i dived into slightly fashion infused flamboyant characters and felt free to find my self in boundless space of fantasy, surrounded by body proportion games catching surrealistic scenes, often with a dash of a delightful tongue-in-cheek humour.
I love to overact the colouful characters, play with personality and mood. My inspiration is life drama, subtlety, problems, beauty. I admire the scenario of the slightly mad or surreal stories. Body proportions in my artworks are mostly not real, it’s ironic, sexless, but it’s always aesthetic. I believe that my creative objects and figures are searching for dialogue, sometimes it makes you smile, sometimes it calms you down.
